CTO Vet Brings Rich History in E-Commerce to Role at Vimeo
Vimeo, an operating business of IAC, has named Michael Concannon as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the company. Concannon brings a wealth of experience across key disciplines of Vimeo’s business, including digital media, e-commerce and emerging tech, and will oversee the technical strategy for the platform, reporting to IAC Chief Executive Officer and Interim Vimeo CEO Joey Levin.

Concannon has a rich history in e-commerce, most recently holding the CTO position at vertically-integrated fashion company ELOQUII; he also served as CTO of Amazon’s Quidsi. Past positions also include Vice President of Ecommerce for Barnes & Noble and VP of Engineering for the Direct-to-Consumer services group at Sony Music Entertainment. He began his career at AT&T Bell Labs and later became a technology consultant for several companies including AT&T, IBM Watson Research Center, and Schering-Plough.
He holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Science. Outside of programming, Concannon’s interests include fatherhood, rugby, woodworking, Arduinos, scuba diving, and good scotch.
